  • Launched on 23 August 2017, the s.Oliver Fashion App comes in a new, modern look & feel. It offers consumers exciting additional functions and entertaining features that help make it an essential shopping assistant.

  • It was important to us to combine inspiration and entertainment in the App, together with perfectly smooth mobile shopping, so that it represents an enrichment and daily companion for s.Oliver customers.

  • Scan & Shop allows users to easily check the online availability of an item at the s.Oliver Store, and order it. The App also allows you to check quickly whether the item you want is in a nearby store. The App incorporates eShop and physical retail, as well as every s.Oliver Franchise Partner, so that consumers don’t see any difference between sales channels.
     
    The s.Oliver Card is integrated into the Fashion App, and this adds a lot of value for customers. Bonus points on the s.Oliver Card can be collected and redeemed online and in the shops. We decided to opt for a log-in process to enable this feature, but that also allows users to set up their own fashion profiles so that we can respond in more detail to their particular requirements and build up more brand loyalty. Entertainment is provided by the Swipe Style feature, with which you can select your own personal fashion highlights by swiping products left and right, and noting them on your personal wish list. A newly designed product catalogue and search function allows you to navigate to the category you want in just a few clicks. Once you’ve found your favourite products, you can order them right away or keep shopping, including on any other device and at a later time.
     
    “s.Oliver has its finger on the pulse with its newly designed App. Invisible to customers but highly influential is the entirely native programming and performance optimisation which makes the App even faster. By opting for a log-in, we’ve given customers the opportunity to personalise the App, which more and more consumers are asking for and that will only increase,” says Ansgar Weber, Director of Digital Operations & IT at s.Oliver, explaining the App’s primary improvements.
     
    The App’s concept and design were developed by Hamburg digital agency superReal, which has already created several prize-winning online shops for the s.Oliver Group and has now designed a smartphone app for Android and iOS. “It was important to us to combine inspiration and entertainment in the App, together with perfectly smooth mobile shopping, so that it represents an enrichment and daily companion for s.Oliver customers,” explains Oliver Cloppenburg, Managing Director of superReal.
     
    The App was implemented technically by T-Systems Multimedia Solution GmbH, who have supported s.Oliver for several years in the eCommerce area and who provided native development for the Android and iOS applications in this project.
     
    The s.Oliver App will continue to be developed and its next features are already being planned, as is its rollout in other countries.
