    superReal wins traditional brand BIRKENSTOCK and is now responsible for rebrushing its online store.

  • superReal succeeded in acquiring BIRKENSTOCK’s online budget at the beginning of the year following a pitch process.

  • superReal’s brief was to rebrush the concept and design of BIRKENSTOCK’s online store, which gives character to the brand and communicates its various theme worlds and its values. The superReal team worked closely with the client on site. This direct partnership, in which ideas were developed and evaluated together, allowed the project to be executed quickly and achieved the best possible results.
    With a familiarity level of over 80 percent, long-running brand BIRKENSTOCK is one of the top five global footwear brands. With around 3,800 employees, this long-standing family company, already in its sixth generation, is one of the German shoe industry’s biggest employers. Their sandals are produced in Germany and sold in 90 countries on all five continents.
    Their new online store was built entirely using responsive Web design and gives the brand a new look & feel, positioning it as a lifestyle brand. High-quality product presentations invite users to experience BIRKENSTOCK’s theme worlds.
    With a clear navigation system and product presentations, everyone can find their personal favourite quickly and easily. The product portfolio has been extended to include a line of natural cosmetics, for which superReal came up with and designed in-depth pages. Users will soon find further inspiration in a planned magazine area for which the eCommerce experts developed content modules.
